Paul Cook MBE - Principal and Chief Executive
Paul Cook has worked in further education for over 25 years with ten of those years as a college principal. Over his many years of service he has worked in some of the country’s highest performing colleges as a teacher, advanced teaching practitioner, head of facility and in a variety of senior management roles. Paul has research interests in the effective methods of securing sustainable employment for learners with disabilities and holds a master’s degree in education. Paul also represents the interests and aspirations of thousands of learners with SEND as the director for employment for Natspec, an organisation that represents over 100 education and training providers for learners with special and additional needs and disabilities. He was appointed to the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire as a Member (MBE) in the Queen's birthday honours in 2022 for services to young people with special education needs and disabilities

Rosie Herbert - Deputy Principal
Rosie Herbert is the strategic lead for all aspects of curriculum and quality, including teaching and learning, quality improvement and curriculum management. Rosie has been involved in the further education sector for over 25 years with a broad range of experience, having had responsibility for both academic and business support functions throughout her career. Rosie started her working life as the Education Officer at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and has a keen interest in all aspects of the arts.

Rachael Barnes – Vice Principal
Rachael Barnes is Vice Principal Finance and Resources at Hereward College. She is the executive lead for finance, funding, human resources and training, examinations, and the college’s management information systems. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Rachael has a wealth of experience leading financial management and professional services teams within the education sector. Rachael also brings her own lived experience which ensures her decisions take into account the holistic impact on the experience and wellbeing of students at the college.
Jane Ferguson - Vice Principal
Jane Ferguson is Vice Principal for Safeguarding & Pastoral Care with responsibility for safeguarding, mentors, therapies, support services, learner leadership and the residential provision. Jane has a worked in education for over 20 years in the areas of teaching and learning, training, therapeutic and pastoral care and business support functions. Jane is also the lead governor for safeguarding at a school in Warwickshire.

Simon Shackleton – Director
Simon Shackleton is Director for Technical Resources, Estates and Facilities at Hereward College. He is responsible for managing and maintain the buildings and land owned by the College; centralised learning resources; information communications technology (ICT); telecommunications and infrastructure and as the co-ordination of health and safety.
